RESEARCH INTERESTS:
The researches of Dr. Molchanov are focused on self-assemled systems like viscoelastic solutions or microbeads highly responsive to small additives and to external conditions. The possibility to easy control the properties of the systems allows to use them as “smart systems”. To investigate the properties of the systems Dr. Molchanov used rheology, viscosimetry, zeta-potentiometry. The structure of systems was studied by SANS, SAXS, DLS, TEM. Dr. Mochanov had got the SANS experience at Joint Institute for Nuclear Research, Dubna, Russia. The objects of his researches were follow systems: responsive to hydrocarbons viscoelastic solutions based on living polymer-like micelles of surfactants and also are composed by its mixtures with associating polymer chains; responsive to magnetic field solutions based on complex of polymer/magnetic particles and also microbeads consisted of cross-linked polymer with embedded magnetic particles.
