SCIENTIFIC TASKS AND RESULTS:

Search for new perspective single crystals for modern physics branches such as electronics, non-linear optics, quantum electronics, high-temperature superconductivity, etc.
The most efficient method for solution of this problem is the growth of desired crystals from high-temperature solutions (flux method) and the study of their atomic structure and physical properties.
Single crystals of 80 various oxide compounds, new and known, were grown and thoroughly investigated.
Four new large families of ferroelectric compounds are found and studied.
It is shown for the first time that crystals of the KTiOPO₄ (KTP) family undergo ferroelectric phase transitions, exhibit anomalous high ionic conductivity and may be regarded as representatives of a new specific kind of solid state materials: ferroelectrics - superionic conductors.
Perfect, twins free single crystals of high-temperature superconductors of various composition were grown and studied.
The results are represented in more than 270 scientific publications, 5 books.
